Simple Magic Tricks

Here are 4 simple magic tricks that anyone can do…

1. The Magical Disappearing Coin Trick

This is probably the easiest simple magic trick in the world! The first thing you need to do is request a coin from the audience and tell them that you are going to make it disappear by rubbing it against your elbow. At this point you will rub the coin on your elbow and then show the audience that it does not disappear on your elbow, in fact it just falls onto the table.

This is where the magic happens… pick up the coin in your right hand and as you are placing it in your left, lift up your left hand to your email while simultaneously rubbing your left elbow with your right hand. This will give the affect that you are rubbing your elbow when in fact you have just hidden the coin behind your ear. Now show the audience both hands and prove to them that you have made the coin disappear!

2. The Amazing Rotating Arm Trick

For this trick you need to make sure you are wearing quite thick jumper or shirt so that you don’t give the game away. This one needs a small amount of preparation; before the audience arrives you should stand up with your back to a table top and place your palms on top. Twist your right hand so that it faces your left hand and then turn your left hand in one full circle until it is face the right hand once more.

Keep your hands looking the same way until everyone is ready for the act to start. Once you begin you can demonstrate to your audience that you can rotate your hand in an entire circle. For the best performance, act like this movement is causing you immense pain.

3. The Fantastical Misplace Coin Trick

First, in full view of your audience, remove a coin from your pocket. Using your left hand, pretend to place the coin into your right hand but really you will be keeping it in the left. Next, pretend to throw the coin from your right hand to your left. Watch as your audience is amazed that the coin has flown across the air and back into your left hand!

4. The Magical “What’s Your Card?” Trick

After shuffling the cards thoroughly, make a note of the bottom card in the pack. For example, if it is the Queen of Hearts, remember that card. Fan the deck and ask a member of the audience to pick a card. Make sure that they put the card back onto the top of the deck. All you have to do in order to work which is their card, is to cut the deck in half and place the bottom card (our Queen of Hearts) on top of their chosen card. When you look through the deck to find the right card it will be the one to the left of the Queen of Hearts!
